OPEN WATER SWIM

 

Waterford Triathlon Club, Open Water Swim training starts 6.30pm sharp at Councillors Beach, Dunmore East. 6th May [Bank Holiday Monday] through to 26th August .(weather permitting)
A swim briefing will take place in Councillors Beach Car park at 6.25pm.  
Please Note the Following:

o    You must be over 16 years of age.
o    Triathlon Ireland Insurance is compulsory (Triathlon Ireland Licence only _ Race Licence / Training Licence ).
o    You must be a proficient swimmer, confirm that you have swum a minimum of 800 meters uninterrupted & unaided within the last 3 weeks.
o    As always this is a training session, not a swimming lesson.
o    Each Swimmer must sign in and sign out.
o    Wetsuits are compulsory. Wear 2 swim hats for extra warmth 
o    There will be 2 groups only. A + B
o    Swim routes will be provided on the night, typically approx 500mtrs & 1000mtrs
o    You must attend the swim briefing and follow the instructions provided.
o    Each group will leave together after the Group Leader
o    NO LICENCE – NO SWIM
